Researchers create an efficient artificial synapse with a new version of brain-like computing which could potentially “communicate with live neurons”. Instead of saving information to a hard-drive like normal computers, this artificial synapse remembers its programming and mimics learning in the same fashion as those within the brain – the signals that cross them.
